Saint Gerasimus of Kefalonia

Saint Gerasimus of Kefalonia is the patron Saint of the island of Kefalonia in Greece. Saint Gerasimos is believed that he protects from illness and many of natives name their children Gerasimos as a tribute to the saint. His body has never decomposed  and it is for veneration at the monastery. The feast day of Saint Gerasimos is celebrated on 20 October and on 16 August.
